맨체스터 유나이티드 FC 크리스티아누 호날두 아들 사망 비보 팬들 애도물결

 

축구스타 크리스티아누 호날두(37·맨체스터 유나이티드)와 연인 조지나 로드리게스(28)의 아들이 사망했다.

 

호날두와 로드리게스는 19일(한국 시각) 인스타그램을 통해 "우리 아들이 세상을 떠났다는 소식을 전하게 돼 너무 슬프다. 이는 부모가 느낄 수 있는 너무나 큰 고통이다"라고 밝혔다.

 

앞서 작년 10월 호날두는 로드리게스가 쌍둥이를 임신했다며 초음파 사진을 공개해 많은 축하를 받았었다.

 

하지만 로드리게스가 출산하는 과정에서 딸은 무사히 태어났지만, 아들은 사망했다.

 

호날두와 로드리게스는 "우리는 이 슬픔으로 인해 망연자실하고 있으며, 사생활을 보호해줄 것을 정중히 요청한다"면서 "우리 아가, 넌 우리의 천사고, 우리는 항상 너를 사랑할 거야"라고 했다.

 

이에 맨체스터 유나이티드와 이전 소속팀이었던 레알 마드리드 등은 같은 날 성명을 내고 애도의 뜻을 전하기도 했다.

 

또한 ‘You‘ll Never Walk Alone.’ 크리스티아누 호날두와 그의 가족을 향한 애도의 물결이 이어졌다.

 

호날두는 20일(한국시간) 안필드에서 열린 2021~2022 잉글랜드 프리미어리그(EPL) 32라운드 리버풀 원정 경기에 결장했다. 연인 조지나 로드리게스가 쌍둥이를 출산하는 과정에서 아들이 사망했고 맨유는 공식 홈페이지를 통해 ‘가족이 가장 중요하다. 때문에 호날두는 리버풀전에 나오지 않는다. 사생활 보호를 요청한다’고 발표했다.

지난 19일 호날두와 조지나는 SNS를 통해 아들의 사망 소식을 알리면서 “부모가 느낄 수 있는 가장 큰 고통이다. 우리 아기, 너는 우리의 천사였다. 우리는 항상 너를 사랑할 것”이라고 했다.

 

호날두가 결장한 맨유는 리버풀에 0-4로 대패했다. 4위 싸움이 한창인 상황에서 반등 기회를 만들어내지 못했다.
